X-Ray Film Holders

The category of x-ray film holders can refer to products designed to help with several parts of the film x-ray process. All of these devices are meant to hold the film during a specific part of exposing, developing and displaying or documenting an x-ray. X-ray holders designed for intraoral use attach to the film and help clinicians properly position it within the patient's mouth. These holders also make it easier for the patient to keep the film in the proper position. Other film-holders are designed to clip to the edges of the exposed films so they can be submerged in developing chemicals. These holders are usually plastic or metal and should feature strong clips that can maintain their grip on the films. The final type of film x-ray holder is designed to display processed film x-rays in the proper sequence, so a FMX, or other imaging series can be viewed in an organized manner.
