Slow-Speed Attachments

Low speed dental handpiece attachments (slow speed attachments) are used for procedures like carries removal, defining, shaping, smoothing, trimming and contouring of preps in the oral cavity. Most slow speed attachments feature an “E” style connection type. Some low speed dental handpiece attachments can be used with both electric motors and air-driven motors. Low speed often refers to work performed under 150,000 RPMs. Low speed attachments often empower higher torque to enable the necessary power at a lower speed. These attachments may or may not feature light and spray coolant, so be sure and research if these features will be necessary. Ensure as well that the dental handpiece is autoclavable.
