Capable of capturing the full upper and lower arches in a single radiograph, digital panoramic x-ray systems can be useful diagnostic tools. These imaging systems require the patient to be placed in the correct alignment, and then the x-ray generator and sensor rotate around the patient's head to capture the image. This data is sent to a computer for processing, and the final image is quickly available for viewing on the computer monitor. Different panoramic image settings take different amounts of time for the scan and image reconstruction. Here are five of the systems that can accomplish this task quickly.
