HENRY SCHEIN ONE OFFERS MEDICAL BILLING TO DENTRIX CUSTOMERS THROUGH DEVDENT’S IMAGN BILLING
Dental Practices Can Bill Procedures to Medical Insurance, Helping to Expand Coverage for Patients, and Enhance Revenue Streams
AMERICAN FORK, Utah-- Henry Schein One, a subsidiary of Henry Schein, Inc., and a leading provider of dental practice management, patient communication and marketing software solutions, today announced it is partnering with Devdent Solutions to offer Imagn Billing® to Dentrix® customers.
According to the American Dental Association, 59% of adults indicated that they forgo dental care due to cost. With Imagn Billing, dental practitioners can bill a patient’s medical insurance for certain accepted procedures, helping to minimize the patient’s out-of-pocket cost, increase case acceptance, and generate new revenue streams, allowing dental teams to focus on delivering quality care.
“Henry Schein One aims to provide integrated technology that simplifies and improves all aspects of practice management, while improving the patient experience, and this new partnership with Devdent Solutions reinforces our commitment to that goal,” said Mike Baird, Chief Executive Officer, Henry Schein One. “It is well known that oral health is closely tied to overall health. By incorporating medical billing into dental practices, oral health professionals can provide, and bill for, certain medical treatments that help improve both oral health and overall health.”
Designed with dental professionals in mind, Imagn Billing is a comprehensive solution that provides — through a monthly no-contract subscription offering — access to medical billing software, a “pay-per-use” billing service, in-person and virtual education courses and access to dedicated medical billing experts. Some of the procedures that may be covered with medical insurance include implants, extractions, or oral appliances to treat obstructive sleep apnea.
“We believe that incorporating medical billing into the dental practice has a profound impact on patient care, as it expands the treatment, and coverage, options that dentists can offer their patients,” said Dr. Joe Magness, Chief Executive Officer, Devdent Solutions. “Together with Henry Schein One, we’re excited to bring Imagn billing to Dentrix customers.”
Live and on-demand webinars are offered throughout the year to keep staff up to date with the latest trends and changes in the medical billing industry. The “Dentrix Connected” medical billing solution will initially be offered to the more than 35,000 practices using the Dentrix practice management system by Henry Schein One.
