Through the photo-based app, patients can instantly access dental advice by taking a photo of the problem area with a smartphone. Once dentists have reviewed a case using high-resolution imagery, they can respond to patients directly with a personalized diagnostic report, treatment options and costs. Patients also have access to an insurance provider directory through the app.
"We are thrilled to be named as an Honoree by CES at this year's awards,” Toothpic CEO and Co-Founder Mark Moore said, according to the release. “Now more than ever we should all be looking after not just our physical and mental health, but also our oral health. Technology can play a key role in this, and our smart dental solution provides a vastly improved experience for the patient to move them from treatment to prevention."
