exocad® announces new clinical products, exoplan and ChairsideCAD
exocad today announces a major expansion of its software portfolio with new offerings for clinicians, exoplan and exocad ChairsideCAD.
exoplan, which is shipping as of today in EU markets, is a fresh approach to implant planning. Using exocad’s proven wizard-based workflows, the software works with popular CT scanners which produce DICOM data. Optionally, surface scans can be provided from the extensive array of intraoral and desktop 3D scanners integrated with exocad. The software provides a simple, stylish, guided approach to implant planning with the benefit that it is extremely easy to use. In the future, Surgical Guides and Immediate Load modules will round out the product offering.
exocad's upcoming CAD product, ChairsideCAD, is based on exocad’s proven DentalCAD technology, but optimized for use in the clinical environment. As with all exocad products, it supports all open intraoral scanners on the market, and will feature smooth workflow integration, thanks to cooperation with leading scanner manufacturers. ChairsideCAD features automatic single-tooth crown proposals, and automatic occlusal and proximal tooth adjustment. Add-on modules will support Automatic Dynamic Articulation, Provisionals, Bite Splints, and TruSmile visualization. An integrated CAM solution, where milling blanks can be placed interactively during the design process will also be available. This gives the clinician the possibility to take full advantage of color-shaded blocks using any of the open chairside milling machines.
"As more and more intraoral scanners and chairside production systems become available, we bring Freedom of Choice to clinicians, and provide and provide open, yet integrated solutions for Digital Dentistry”, said Tillmann Steinbrecher, CEO of exocad.
exocad® announces Integrated Smile Design software
Cologne, Germany, March 21, 2017 exocad announces today its Integrated Smile Design software. The software module will provide an easy to use Smile Design solution based on patient photos. It provides a simple 2D tooth outline editing interface to customize true 3D tooth setups, using exocad’s extensive tooth libraries. In this way, the entire process of Smile Design becomes intuitive and provides maximum control over the outcome. The resulting 3D setup can directly drive the restorative CAD/CAM workflow.
"By combining the ease of outline editing on photos with the power of 3D technology, we provide the best of both worlds: Perfect usability, and more predictable results - as already during the smile design, the situation can be viewed and edited from different angles in real-time", said Tillmann Steinbrecher, CEO of exocad.
exocad's Smile Design software is integrated with exocad's digital dentistry platform and can be used in combination with both exocad DentalCAD, the implant planning software exoplan, as well as upcoming products from exocad, which include ChairsideCAD and exocad Ortho. From Smile Design to the production of the final restoration, exocad's cloud-based collaboration platform dentalshare connects dental professionals during the different stages of digital dentistry processes, to ensure a seamless distributed work flow across sites.
exocad would like to thank Dr. Jan Haitó for his inspiring insights on the advantages of 3D outline editing and simultaneous multi-angle viewing. We also thank Dr. Christian Coachman for his multitude of contributions to the advancement of Digital Smile Design.
