Clinicians who use the 3M True Definition Scanner now have the ability to place records of intraoral scans into patient charts stored in Henry Schein’s Dentrix practice management software.
The new connection makes it possible to seamlessly store 2D records of intraoral scans within the Dentrix patient chart, according to a press release. This makes the process of recording and saving patient information more efficient.
A link to the 3M Connecter Center gives practitioners easy access to clinical records and 3D visualization tools.
The Dentrix Connected version of the scanning software is available to all subscribers of the Standard Data plan or higher. It requires Dentrix 5.2 or higher and a subscription to Digital Dental Exchange (DDX) OS, a web-based service that allows practitioners to efficiently exchange and manage casework with a lab partner. Some features might require a subscription to the 3M Advanced Data Plan.
