Ultradent Products recently launched the Endo-Eze EVOS endodontic motor, the Endo-Eze EVOS 8:1 contra-angle, and the Endo-Eze Genius reciprocation and rotary files, all designed to make endodontic procedures safer and more efficient.
The Endo-Eze EVOS (Endodontic Variable Operating System) allows for easy movement between reciprocation and rotary modes. The electric, motor driven handpiece is designed for root canal preparation, and includes a control unit that features an LCD screen with a selection of settings, according to a press release.
The unit comes with a foot pedal that allows clinicians to activate and deactivate the motor. The EVOS motor is also pre-programmed for the Genius files, which helps to minimize the risk of file separation in reciprocation mode, while shaping and removing debris in rotation mode.
The stainless steel Endo-Eze EVOS 8:1 reduction contra-angle can rotate in both rotary and reciprocation mode, depending on motor settings. It can be used with the EVOS motor and Genius files, and also is compatible with other endodontic systems.
The Endo-Eze Genius files are designed to shape and clean the root canal system during endodontic treatment. They’re made specifically for use with the EVOS motor in both reciprocation and rotary modes. The working part of the files are made of nickel-titanium alloy, heat treated to increase flexibility while retaining strength.
