Carestream Dental’s 3D Symposium Offers Clinicians the Chance to Learn How Advances in CBCT Imaging Can Benefit Their Practice
Carestream Dental will host its annual 3D Symposium on Friday, Nov. 15, and Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta, Ga. This comprehensive symposium was created exclusively for doctors and aims to educate participants on cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) imaging as well as CAD/CAM technology. Practitioners can receive up to 12 CE credits for participating throughout the symposium.
Guest speakers will share insights on a variety of topics from the basics of CBCT imaging to more advanced techniques for analyzing 3D images. Practitioners will have the chance to meet other oral health professionals and learn from their first-hand experience with the technology. In addition, each day will conclude with Carestream Dental’s vice president of digital imaging, Dr. David Gane, leading a panel discussion with industry leaders who will answer questions from attendees.
Practitioners hoping to gain a basic understanding of CBCT imaging will learn from experts across different specialties how 3D images can be used at every step of contemporary patient care, including treatment planning, consultations and post-operative evaluations. In-depth discussions will explore using 3D images to plan guided implant surgery, minimize orthodontic and periodontal treatment risks, and perform other procedures. Those who already have the latest CBCT systems in their practice will discover advanced techniques to help maximize their imaging capabilities. Topics will include recognizing when one’s perceptual bias may interfere with image interpretation as well as how clinicians can use the latest developments in CAD/CAM technology to design and mill restorations in a single patient visit.
The symposium will also provide the opportunity to explore some of the technology that Carestream Dental has to offer. Clinicians will be able to see the latest CBCT systems in action, including the CS 9000 3D, CS 9300 and CS 9300 Select, as well as the CS 3500 intraoral scanner. Carestream Dental’s trained team will be on hand to answer any questions about the systems or practice implementation.
Registration is open until the day of the event, with early bird pricing available through Friday, Oct. 11. For more information or to register for the 3D Symposium, please call 800.944.6365 or visit the event page.
