Futurabond U functions in self-, selective- and total-etch modes on almost any material, and can achieve total-etch bond strengths with all resin-based composites, cements and core build up materials, according to a press release. It adheres to metal, zirconia and ceramic materials, and can be used in self-cure mode for endodontic post cementation.
The patented unit dose delivery system is designed to keep the solvent from evaporating, which allows every application of Futurabond U to provide the same predictable results. The universal dental adhesive requires just one coat and can be used start to finish in just 35 seconds. Its thickness of 9 microns allows it to provide invisible bonding margins.
The material does not require refrigeration, and even with the unit dose packaging, it is priced competitively with other universal dental adhesives that come in a bottle.

Futurabond U’s versatility allows it to be used in self-, selective- or total etch mode without any additional primers or activators on virtually all substrates. As a dual-cure adhesive Futurabond U will self-cure without any light activation which offers a big advantage for endodontic applications such as post cementation where it avoids the pooling effect, a problem with light cured adhesives.
