The SCANORA 3Dx can capture cone beam 3D images from eight fields of view, allowing the image to be isolated on the area of interest and reducing patient radiation exposure, according to a press release. The fields of view include extra large 18 x 17 cm and 24 x 17 cm sizes for 3D imaging applications requiring anatomical information from a large area. The SARA (SOREDEX Advanced Reconstruction Algorithm) system helps detect small anatomical details critical to diagnosis and treatment planning, while the SMAR (SOREDEX Metal Artifact Reduction) technology helps minimize scatter from metal artifacts.
With the Autoswitch feature, the SCANORA 3Dx can switch between 3D and 2D modes without the need to change detectors or reseat the patient. The RealPAN 2D function uses a dedicated, HD sensor for high quality digital panoramic images. The motorized chair and chinrest make positioning the patient and aiming the scanner simple, and the EasyScout feature help ensure proper positioning for 3D cone beam images. Additionally, the SCANORA 3Dx is controlled via an intuitive touchscreen for simplified operations.
