
The Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry (IALD) recently announced three dates for training courses aimed to equip dental hygienists with the tools necessary to provide value added services for dental practices using Millennium Dental Technologies’ PerioLase MVP-7 laser for the LANAP protocol.
The courses, which are presented in conjunction with Advanced Laser Training, Inc., are designed to help maximize patient periodontal health and increase dental practice efficiency and profitability, according to a press release. Hygienists will learn about laser pocket disinfection, treatment of aphthous ulcers and herpetic lesions, tooth desensitization, and laser TMD treatments, among other topics. Upon completion of the course participants will achieve Standard Proficiency Certification and be ready to support LANAP-trained clinicians for occlusal adjustments, case presentation, identification of post-operative needs, presentation of post-op and oral hygiene instructions as well as informed consent, and additional hygiene procedures using the PerioLase MVP-7.
