There are now 200 dental professionals who can use the title CDD professionally as D4D Technologies recently announced the 200th person to complete the company’s CAD CAM Dental Designer program.
The program was launched as a part of D4D’s E4D University training efforts in 2008 as a way for dental assistants and technicians to become experts in dental CAD/CAM technology. The training focuses on digital dental restoration design principles, as well as finishing techniques for CAD/CAM crowns and bridges, according to a press release.
The self-paced study program requires students to pass practical and written exams to receive the CDD designation. Thus far the program has helped train CDDs working in 37 states in the U.S. and 4 Canadian provinces.
