In the second acquisition announced by the company in the past two weeks, Ivoclar Vivadent publicized its plan to purchase dental milling center Diadem Precision Technology in a deal expected to be completed by the end of the year, according to a press release.
Founded in 2008 and now operating from facilities in Troy, Mich., and Windsor, Ontario, Diadem provides production services to dental labs using CAD/CAM systems for fabrication of all-ceramic restorations.
Diadem founder Mike Girard, RDT, will be leaving to pursue other opportunities in the dental lab industry, according to the press release.

Ivoclar Vivadent today announced the acquisition of Diadem Precision Technology. The transaction is expected to be completed by December 31, 2012.
Located in Troy, Mich., and Windsor, Ontario, Diadem Precision Technology is a state-of-the-art, high efficiency, high quality, digital-based production facility focusing on all-ceramic CAD/CAM solutions serving the dental laboratory industry. With facilities in the US and Canada, the company currently employs 25 people.
Diadem Precision Technology started business in 2008 as a digital-based milling center. Since its inception, the company has consistently grown under the leadership of Mr. Mike Girard who will pursue a new opportunity within the laboratory industry.
