Cephalometric X-ray

Primarily used for planning orthodontic treatments, cephalometric x-rays capture a full view of the side of the patient's face and airway. A cephalometric x-ray can be used to evaluate maloclussions, the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and other facial structure issues. Digital cephalometric x-ray systems are often paired with digital panoramic units, with an extra ceph imaging head mounted on a second arm.
