The VPM2 is a programmable, hands-free vacuum mixer designed for bubble-free mixing of gypsum, plaster, investment, silicone, and alginate. The mixer has five preset programs for the most frequently used products and can accept up to 30 other customized programs. The VPM2 mixer can be programmed for time, speed, and paddle direction. The mixer is equipped with an automatic vacuum system that holds the mixing bowls to the unit for hands-free mixing. Program parameters are mixing time (1-255 seconds) and mixing speed (100-500 rpm). An inlet filter prevents excess materials from entering the vacuum line. The VPM2 can be used as a bench top unit, with an optional stand, or as a wall-mounted unit. Its dimensions are 8.8” x 22.5” x 6.2” and it is available in 115V/60Hz or 230V/50Hz. It comes with a standard 500-ml mixing bowl and 300-ml or 875-ml bowls as available options. The VPM2 mixer comes with a three-year warranty.

The mixer also features an effective, alternating blade motion for pre-mix, which means hand spatulation is not required prior to mixing. Speed is adjustable and pre/post vacuum is programmable. Clinical evaluators found the VPM2 to be reliable, easy-to-use, and very efficient due to its hands-free operation and multi-programmable functions. They found the parameters of mixing programs easy to set. The VPM2 mixer can be wall mounted or used as a bench top unit with an optional stand.
The unit does not automatically start when the mixing bowl is attached, which may delay mixing. The unit has so many features, some may go unused.
