| PracticeWorks is launching a series of application-specific dental practice management software (DPMS) modules to enhance utility of current KODAK PRACTICEWORKS, SOFTDENT, ORTHOTRAC and WINOMS CS Practice Management Software.
Being introduced this week at the 2009 American Dental Association Annual Session is eForms, a new module that provides a flexible tool for electronically capturing forms traditionally filled out by hand by the patient. Other future releases include modules for patient scheduling; reminder services; referral services and more.
The next-generation software will be seamlessly integrated with existing practice management systems including These new features can be downloaded via the Internet, without interrupting or delaying practice workflow.
The eForms module, to be available in the first quarter of 2010, creates a convenient and efficient way to collect patient information electronically. With a variety of ways for patients to complete forms, staff is freed from scanning or re-entering information. The patient’s record is automatically updated with new or changed information, and patients know exactly what electronic forms they need to complete since the process is automated for their needs. It also eliminates supply costs associated with paper forms.
Patients may enter information online or via a workstation kiosk, enabling practice teams to get patients checked in quickly and easily with accurate information. The next-generation software is built with dynamic workflow logic built into each module from the ground-up.
Two recently launched modules to implement this unique approach are:
• KODAK Acquisition Module – Streamlines the process of capturing patient images by intuitively linking between x-ray equipment and the practice management scheduler.
• KODAK PEARL Module– Equips dental professionals to manage their offices and patient needs remotely from a mobile device by providing real-time information related to common issues and scenarios.
